Safe Connection for New Appliances
Buying a new oven, cooktop or hot water system? Under NSW law, fixed electrical appliances must be connected by a licensed electrician and comply with AS/NZS 3000 (the Australian/NZ Wiring Rules). We handle the connection and provide a Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work (CCEW) for the job.

Do I need an electrician to install a new oven or cooktop?
Yes. In NSW, fixed appliances like ovens and cooktops must be wired in by a licensed electrician, in line with AS/NZS 3000 and NSW Fair Trading requirements.
Will my switchboard need an upgrade for a new appliance?
It depends on your existing capacity and the appliance's power draw. We'll assess your switchboard against current AS/NZS 3000 requirements and let you know if an upgrade is needed.
Do you disconnect old appliances as well?
Yes, we can safely disconnect and remove old appliances as part of the installation, in line with NSW safe work practices.
